The
Company (a California corporation):
In April 2000, Enterprise
Webs, a developer of consumer-related web sites acquired the 100%
interest in CT (CulturalTravels.com). CT possesses the world’s largest
directory of specialty tour operators (over 2,000 - available via search).
The 500-megabytes of databases
and web sites offered are housed and maintained internally.
Enterprise Webs advanced the flagship CT web sites
(CulturalTravels.com and sister site, TheCulturedTraveler.com
news magazine) with sophisticated search engine capabilities, both in
North America and abroad.
The Company's sites are dedicated to encouraging travelers to explore and
discover. Toward that end the Company has maintained a free directory
listing service to all tour operators worldwide so both travelers and
travel agents can assuredly enjoy total specialty travel coverage in
one place—including Tourist Boards and an Events Calendar. Our
visiting travelers—nearly two-million per year now—visit with us for an
industry-wide, phenomenal average session time of over 16-minutes. Nearly 40% of our travelers spend
over $20,000 per year on multiple travels — see
CT’s demographic profile and survey. The
travelers we attract arrive here because they wish to explore and discover new
trip opportunities—which are, in turn, opportunities for specialty tour
hosts who might otherwise go unnoticed by the limitations of
keyword searches.
The six-year old company is driven by a small number of
dedicated people and maintains access to resources that are not full-time. On board
at all times are:
Sheri Leigh: CEO, news magazine
publisher and CT sales and marketing responsibilities.
Tony Valente:
Network/Operations and database administration.
Yannick Wets: Search
engine technology and advanced applications development.
Flo Heckenbach:
Events and Calendar editor and database record maintenance.
